first_imgFormer Syracuse offensive lineman Donnie Foster is no longer a member of the program. It is unclear why. Syracuse.com’s Stephen Bailey first reported the news.The 6-foot-3, 326-pound redshirt junior center started the last two games of the 2016 season when Colin Byrne went down with an injury. Foster appeared in six games that year.Foster, who suffered a knee injury during spring practice, did not play in his freshman or sophomore years at Syracuse. He arrived at SU as a preferred walk-on from IMG (Florida) Academy and former head coach Scott Shafer gave him a scholarship in spring 2015.On SU’s Week 1 depth chart released Monday morning, redshirt freshman Airon Servais is slotted as the starting center. SU begins the 2017 season Friday at 7 p.m. against Central Connecticut State at the Carrier Dome.
