first_imgJonathan Walters has told talkSPORT he has no doubts that Jack Butland will become England’s number one.The 22-year-old has been in outstanding form since coming into the Potters’ starting XI at the start of the season and has been attracting interest from rival clubs.Walters hopes the youngster sticks with Stoke and keeps gaining valuable experience, but he believes it is just a matter of time before he is a first pick for the Three Lions.Speaking on the Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast, the Ireland star said of his teammate: “Playing in the Premier League at such a young age, at a consistent level, he needs to keep that going.“He has started the season ever so well and he needs to keep it going and keep his head. But he is definitely a talent. He is definitely one for the next England goalkeeper, without a shadow of a doubt.“He is so comfortable with the ball at his feet. He can play out from the back with his left foot and right foot, his distribution is excellent and he is pulling off world class saves.”last_img read more
