Boliden expands electronic scrap recycling facility at copper smelter in Sweden

first_imgOutotec has signed a contract with Boliden for the delivery of Kaldo furnace technology to its Rönnskär copper smelter in Sweden. The delivery will be a part of Boliden’s electronic scrap recycling facility expansion, which will increase the processing capacity from 45,000 t/y, currently, to 120,000 t/y of electronic scrap. The new generation Outotec® Kaldo furnace is expected to be commissioned at the end of 2011.“Outotec is increasingly involved in environmental business. 76% of our orders received last year were environmental goods and services according to OECD criteria.
